Privacy Policy

Your business is your business. Let’s keep it that way.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Codewink builds websites and WordPress plugins. When you visit our website or tell us about a project, some information comes along for the ride. Here’s what we collect, why we use it, and who may receive it.

Codewink is operated by Gardiner Web Development, LLC, based in Missouri, United States.

You bring the idea. We collect the details.

When you submit our project inquiry form or contact us directly, we collect the information you provide, including:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your website address, if supplied.
  • The type of project you’re considering.
  • Your project description.
  • Plugins, services, or integrations involved.
  • Your estimated budget and timeline.
  • Any additional information you include in your message.

Please leave passwords, payment card details, Social Security numbers, and sensitive customer information out of the form. Wink is curious, but he doesn’t need your entire digital filing cabinet.

Websites leave footprints. Even without shoes.

Our website, hosting provider, and security tools may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, request times, and error logs.

We use this information to operate the website, investigate problems, and help detect spam or misuse.

When you submit a form, we collect the information you enter, along with the submission date and time. Depending on our form settings, Gravity Forms may also store your IP address with the entry.

What we do with it. The useful stuff.

We use information to:

  • Respond to questions and project inquiries.
  • Assess requirements and prepare proposals.
  • Communicate about projects and provide agreed services.
  • Maintain business records.
  • Operate, secure, and troubleshoot our website.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.

A project inquiry is a request to talk about a project. Any newsletter or promotional signup will be presented separately.

Who else gets involved?

Running a website involves service providers. Information may be processed by providers supporting our hosting, forms, email, security, backups, and business operations.

Project inquiries submitted through Gravity Forms are stored in our WordPress database. Email notifications and correspondence may also contain the information you submit.

A few tools help keep the lights on.

We use Pressable to host our website and store information submitted through our forms.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website. Depending on our configuration and your consent choices, it may collect information about pages viewed, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location. It may use cookies or similar technologies.

These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies:

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or security, or as part of a business transfer, subject to applicable requirements.

Your information isn’t our side hustle.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We disclose information to service providers and in the other circumstances described in this policy.

Cookies. Sadly, not the edible kind.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. WordPress and installed services may use cookies for functions such as login sessions, preferences, security, or shopping-cart features where enabled.

Our website also loads fonts and software assets from external providers, including Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and Cloudflare’s cdnjs. Your browser connects to those providers to request files, which exposes technical information such as your IP address.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website features.

How long does your information stick around?

We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including handling inquiries, providing services, maintaining necessary business records, and meeting legal obligations.

Information removed from active systems may remain in backups until those backups expire under the applicable retention schedule.

We take security seriously. Wink can save the jokes here.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

If a project requires access credentials or confidential files, we’ll arrange an appropriate way to exchange them. The public inquiry form isn’t the place.

Your information. Your questions.

You can contact jenn@gardinerwebdesign.com to ask about your personal information or request a correction or deletion.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including access, a copy of your information, restrictions on certain uses, or an appeal of a decision about a request.

We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, contractual, or accounting purposes.

Other websites have their own house rules.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

A note about our plugins

This policy describes the Codewink website and related business communications. A plugin that collects information or connects to an external service will need its own applicable disclosures or documentation.

Small mascot. Grown-up services.

Codewink’s services are intended for businesses and adults. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

Things change. This page will, too.

We may update this policy as our website, services, or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we’ll provide additional notice of material changes.
